Chlorastrolite (Greenstone),Mohawkite ,Lake Superior Agate 3 way Bracelet:
Chlorastrolite is the “official state gem” of Michigan. It is a variety of the mineral pumpellyite and is found primarily as a small, green, rounded beach pebble, showing a turtleback pattern. Greenstones can still be found on Isle Royale and on some of the mine waste piles of the Copper Country, although it is a rare mineral.
Mohawkite
Mohawkite occurs in the Mohawk-Ahmeek area of Keweenaw County, Michigan. Mohawkite is mainly a copper-arsenic compound. It also contains cobalt, silver, nickel and iron. Mohawkite is rare; this is the only locality in the world where it can be found.
Lake Superior Agate
Agates are a variety of the mineral quartz, SiO2 with a hardness of 7. The combination of quartz with small amounts of different elements has created beautiful banding, varied patterns, and eye-catching colors unique to each agate. These gemstones can be found on many Lake Superior beaches throughout the states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
